| | |"Accessibility" means all of the features that allow the widest number of users can take advantage of all content and services offered by a computer system (and especially from a website), irrespective of technological equipment more or less rich and updated (old browsers, slow connections, etc.). and - above all - from disability (subjects who are blind, visually impaired, disabled or suffering from motor disability perceptual otherwise).
In order to protect all these categories of users and allow them a free and fair access to the web, Law No. 4 of 9 January 2004 "Measures to facilitate access for disabled people to computer" (better known as "Legge Stanca ") and therefore the most important recommendations of the W3C (the international consortium that sets the standard for the web) has introduced mandatory standards for the accessibility of Internet sites for Public Administration.
The association equal, which for many years closely following the evolution of issues related to accessibility, based on the most advanced Open Source technologies currently available, has created CMSaccessibile, a low-cost system for creating portals accessible comply with the most highest international standards and the law Stanca.
